Albert Ujkaj

Mr. Ujkaj is a LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) with a great deal of experience working with various behavioral health issues (e.g. anxiety, depression, addictions), and working in a medical clinic setting serving underserved individuals including much experience with pregnant women with psychiatric problems.  He has also become very experienced in dealing with many of the social determinants of health issues (e.g. housing, food insecurity, transportation problems).  He has worked in the Michigan Flint & Detroit communities for the past 8 years, providing care management for complex individuals in trauma focused environments.  Some of his other projects have included working with the Michigan Primary Care Association doing clinical research on patients with mild mental illness, PTSD exposure therapy, work with the University of Michigan’s Psychiatric Collaborative Care program, plus work in an addiction treatment clinics for the past 7 years.

Mr. Ujkaj received his Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in business administration from Madonna University. He received his Masters in Social Work from Wayne State University and carries a full license from the state of Michigan. Prior to working in the social work field, he worked in accounting for several years.
