LaShanda D. Jackson

LaShanda Jackson is a nutrition educator and coach who has worked for years in the greater Flint, Michigan area. As such she has instructed numerous individuals and groups on the basics of nutrition, plus provided clients with customized diet plans and food preparation ideas to fit their individual health and wellness needs. She also has particular experience in working with individuals involved with the criminal justice system.

Ms. Jackson received her Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Flint’s Mott Community College, where she also received Associate Degrees in Arts, Science, and General Studies. She received both Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University.  Her subsequent education has also included Mental Health Youth Training at the Genesee County Health System (Flint, MI), Child Nutrition and Cooking Certificate training at Stanford University, and becoming a Certified Health and Nutrition Coach (Dr. Sears Wellness Institute).  Finally, she is also the recipient of a Working Effectively with Formerly Incarcerated People Certificate from the National Association of Social Workers.
