Randal Joyce

Mr. Joyce works primarily as a Certified Peer Recovery Coach. He has worked at the Genesee Community Health Center (Flint, Michigan) in this capacity with patients in a trauma focused center. He has served as a mentor developing treatment plans with individuals with a substance use disorder (SUD) diagnosis and provided support for up to 10 healthcare providers assisting patients with addiction. He has also worked for Red Cedar Methadone Clinic in Lansing, MI as a recovery coach providing care to patients, running support groups, plus providing interventions and assistance with treatment plans. Currently he is a recovery coach for the Hamilton Community Health Network working at their Hamilton-Flint (Root St.) primary care medically assisted treatment (MAT) program and with Hamilton’s obstetric clinic team, here helping women with various addiction problems.
Mr. Joyce received his Associates Degree of Applied Science from Macomb Community College. He also obtained Recovery Coach certification through Genesee Health System, plus obtained separate Peer Recovery Coach Certification through the State of Michigan. He is also a certified Community Health Worker through the State of Michigan, and again has years of experience working with underserved and disadvantaged populations in the greater Flint area.
