Exercise is a very important part of any health improvement plan and weight loss plan. When it comes to maintaining a healthy weight, some may feel that you can simply exercise your way to a reduced weight while eating whatever you want. This approach rarely works! People often don’t realize how much exercise it takes to work off the calories from say a hamburger or a serving of French fries.
The attached infographic below, created by Mallory Miller, focuses on how much exercise you need to do to “work off” these favorite foods. She has also generated other infographics focusing on other types of exercise (e.g. running, biking, swimming, playing basketball, multiple exercises). Limiting your intake of such foods plus exercising is a much better approach!
